Cryptocoryne Lutea is a low-maintenance plant that thrives in stable freshwater aquariums.
This cryptocoryne lutea aquarium plant prefers low to moderate lighting. Too much light may cause melting, so keep it in shaded or indirect areas of your tank.
Ideal temperature range is between 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C). It adapts well to most community tank setups.
CO₂ injection is not necessary, but it may enhance growth. This cryptocoryne plant does well in low-tech tanks without added CO₂.
Growth is slow to moderate. Once established, this lutea plant spreads gradually through runners.
Propagate by carefully separating and replanting the runners that grow around the base of the plant. Avoid disturbing the roots too often to prevent melting.
Gently place the plant in nutrient-rich substrate and bury only the roots - avoid covering the crown (where leaves meet the roots) to prevent rot.
It typically grows up to 4 - 6 inches (10 - 15 cm) tall, depending on tank conditions.
Provide low to moderate light, stable water parameters, and a nutrient-rich substrate. Avoid sudden changes in the tank to prevent leaf melt.
Propagate by gently separating the small plantlets (runners) that grow near the base and replanting them in the substrate.
