Duckweed (Lemna Minor) - Aquarium plants

The Duckweed (Lemna minor), also known as Common Duckweed, is a fast-growing floating plant that adds natural beauty and function to any aquarium. With its small, vibrant green leaves and ability to cover the water surface, this plant helps create a balanced ecosystem for fish and other aquatic life. The duckweed scientific name, Lemna minor, places it in the family Lemnaceae, known for its adaptability and usefulness in aquariums and ponds.

Duckweed Benefits

  • Natural water filter: Helps absorb excess nutrients, improving water quality.
  • Shade provider: Reduces light penetration, minimizing algae growth.
